I'm listing some of my personal favorites. A lot will depend on what sort of setting you're looking for. Romance? Old friend? Relative? Links and reviews below so you can find what will best fit you and the person you're visiting. Enjoy your visit...

For most romantic, choose either Aldo's or Brass Elephant :)
Okay, so here are my top four choices:

1. Charleston (Inner Harbor)

The food is phenominal. Everything is served as a tasting (sort of like tapas) and you can choose to have as many courses as you want. Three courses is a bit small, you'll probably want about 5. They also have a great wine selection. The atmosphere isn't too over the top. (Some people might like waiters that kiss butt (like at Aldo's) but I personally don't appreciate it. I like attentive, friendly service, and this place does just that.) You can also choose a selected multi-course meal with wines paired to match the food as selected by the chef, which would be my recomendation.

2. Oregon Grille (Hunt Valley)

Okay - this place has just great food and is in a beautiful setting. It is about 1/2 hour north of downtown Baltimore, I'm not sure what kind of drive you are looking for. Great wine selection!

3. Brightons

This is in the Harbor Court Hotel. I would normally never recomend a hotel restauraunt, but this is one of the best places to eat in Baltiomore. And the view is amazing.

4. Pazo

No list of Baltimore eats is complete without mentioning Pazo. It's the best Tapas place in Baltimore and is in Fells Point. The atmosphere is very chic.Fanciest and the best Restaurant to go in Maryland?
Definitely the Prime Rib. Downtown Baltimore,

but not the Harbor. But it is the best restaurant in town. Romantic too.
