How much should it cost to replace ignition coils, spark plugs, and spark plug wires on a 2000 Volvo S40?

So, I have had some issues starting my 2000 Volvo S40, and recently the check engine light came on. I brought it in to Aamco so see what was up, and it came back as an engine misfire code. After diagnosing the problem, I was told I needed to replace all the ignition coils, the spark plugs, and the spark plug wires. The total estimate came to $669.22. I don't know much about cars, but searching around online it seems like this price is a little high. Is this an accurate price?

Also, a secondary question- I've been driving as a part time delivery person for a company that works with 140 restaurants in the Baltimore area, and the job involves A LOT of stopping and starting my car...would all of these short trips and frequent stopping and starting of the car be a possible reason for the above repairs to become necessary? The car has 80,000 miles on it, so I know it's partly because of the age and mileage, but I want to make sure I'm not contributing to the early demise of my car with this job.

Thanks! How much should it cost to replace ignition coils, spark plugs, and spark plug wires on a 2000 Volvo S40?
i am also a volvo owner as far as coils find out what cylinders are misfiring you don't necessarily have to replace all of them. coils are $45 ea. need 4 if you replace all. plugs are $4 ea. wires feed two coils each so you need two at $120 ea. if you just pay for parts it's around $440. now as i said i own Volvo's 2. 2002 C70 and a 2003 XC90 both had misfire codes in the past. i own a scan tool so i only replaced the bad coils cylinder 2 on C70 $36.($50w/plugs) and cylinder 1 on XC90. $54 ($75w/plugs.) changed all plugs and no wires and have had no problems since. total $110 did work myself in 1/2 hour. as for your job VERY hard on your car. pick up a cheap beater car for work.
That price is at the least twice what it should be, maybe more.

Yes stop and go traffic does wear out a car faster. How much should it cost to replace ignition coils, spark plugs, and spark plug wires on a 2000 Volvo S40?
You are looking at $20 (total for all 4) for the plugs, $40 for the wires, $50 ignition coil... Plus an hour's or so worth of labor.... Total cost shouldn't be more than $200, if that's all they are doing.

A full tune up would cost about that much, but that would also include new fluids, tire rotation, air filter, distributor cap and rotor, and a radiator flush.

The driving you are talking about will cause an increase on wear and tear of your vehicle, but 80,000 miles isn't really bad for simply needed new plugs and wires...maybe a little sooner than normal, but certainly not bad.
