Would you care? A little survey if you will.?

Would you be ok and really ok and fine about it (not including accepting it but screaming inside and not because of money spent) but truly ok emotionally........?

1~ If they went to an adult movie theatre say a couple times a year?

If they went on a regular basis? Maybe a couple times a month or more?

In case you dont know, its a movie theatre with porn. There are also booths where you can view porn and masturbate in a more private setting.

2~ Went to swinger clubs male or female dancers a few times a year?

Regularly, every month?

3~ Joined an adult dating site such as Adult Friend finder or Ashley Madison?

What if you looked through their acct and saw no sign of chatting or plans to meet?

4~ Cyber sexed with a random paid cyber sex professional?

Phone sex with paid phone sex operator?

These two things with a non professional, random person known from online?

5~ Ate a restaurant/bar where the servers were nude, in skimpy lingerie or outfits? Or was holding wet t shirt contest, bikini contests, etc?

6~ Had lunch with a smoking hot co worker or NEW friend?

7~ Went to a nude beach without you?

8~ Watched porn with random people?

Specifically looked up nude or almost nude pics of celebrities to use as "material?

Thanks fr your time :-)Would you care? A little survey if you will.?
1 - without me? that would bother me if she did

2 - swinger clubs (without me) yes, strip clubs no

3 - without letting me know about it yes, if I knew and had her login then no

4 - outside of the money the professional would be ok, random person from online who is out of state/non-driving distance is ok

5 - no problem there

6 - during working hours lunch no problem, saturday/sunday would be a problem

7 - Hmm this is rougher, I guess depends on who she did go with, so maybe a problem, maybe not.

8 - do you mean "watched porn in a room with other random people in the room with her" or do you mean browsed pornhub/redtube/etc ? Big difference there. and nude pics of celebrities make great material, I tend to search for porn that matches real life women I either have been with, or fantasize about.
1.Not care.

2.Not care.

3.Care a little, and ask about it.

4.Not much care.

5.Cool. We'd go there as a couple.

7.Would not care. She went to the nude beach to see all the ugly old fat guys...well hope she had fun(We don't have the cool Europe beaches here in Ohio)

8.Not care.Would you care? A little survey if you will.?
If your husband is doing ALL of these things then he does not "rock"- he does not appreciate you. Strip clubs with close guy friends for bachelor parties is one thing, BUT Ashley Madison is a sex site for people unhappy with the sex in their marriage, by the way. If he is frequenting all these places then he is over-sexed and who knows whats going on in his mind

5. Sure - once in a while ok

6. Sure

7. Sure

I would not be okay with any of these. I know that there will probably be some on here that will say they would be okay with some of these things, and if they are - they do not love the person they are with.
1. No

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. HELL NO

4. HELL NO

5. yes

6. HELL NO

7~ No bc I'd wonder y he didn't ask me

8~yes-some porn is healthy for a relationship to get the mojo following
1~ If they went to an adult movie theatre say a couple times a year?

-- Not ok, Porn at home is fine, those places are disgusting!

If they went on a regular basis? Maybe a couple times a month or more?

--See above

In case you dont know, its a movie theatre with porn. There are also booths where you can view porn and masturbate in a more private setting.

-- perfectly acceptable

Specifically looked up nude or almost nude pics of celebrities to use as "material?

-- perfectly acceptable.

Basically, fantasy is one thing, when it becomes a reality (ie: interacting with a real person), it's not ok.
1. I have been many times and it is fun and enjoyable, esp. with a woman along

2.I have been several times and enjoyed it immensely, exciting and fantasizing

3.I am a member of both and have had quite a few hits

4.Have never paid for phone sex, but have had phone sex several times with different ladies

5. I have never been to a place where they were nude, just wet t shirts and Hooters, does that count? lol Let me know if u find a place with nude waitresses

6. Yes, and LUNCH needs to be more readily defined :)

7.Have never been to one but it sounds like it would be fun. Have lived near a couple.

8.Yes, with several other ladies and have done a little more than watch. No Celeb's though, prefer just normal housewives and ladies.

Thanks, hope u r having a wonderful day
1. Would only be concerned for her safety in this situation, otherwise no problem.

2. I would find this a little odd

3. She has done this, with my permission.

4. If she had to pay for it I'd be a little disappointed, surely she can find people to do this with for free

5. No problem, she could probably win

6. No problem

7. I'd find it a bit odd, but I'd be ok

8. As long as she's watching porn I'm a happy camper, hell she can even do a little SP while she's at it.
Well then...someone has a perverted , kinky mind...well done

1- Care? No. Shocked ? , yes-- I cannot get her to watch porn unless she is very horny and drunk..then all she does is critique the body parts, hair, and makeup / acne scars of the actors.

2- Strip club- only with a group of women will she go to see a male review--I think only 3 or 4 in 12 years. She prefers the lady dancers. I would not care if she stopped in alone for a drink.

3- not happening

4- I would care, but she has no voice or cyber sex skills

5- all for it. She vomits in her mouth in there is a hair in her food (even if its her own) so I doubt she will ever deal with a nude waiter

6- if you mean by 'smoking' female, then no

7- go for it..

8- see answer #1

What legal recourse do I have as a business person?

My friend Timothy just opened a restaurant that sells individual, personal-style meat loafs for take-out. He sells all kinds of different meat loaf...turkey, southwestern style, regular homestyle, vegetarian, etc. So after a week or so he realized he didn't have enough loaf pans and he wasn't able to fulfill all his orders. He actually almost had to close his doors because of this. I told him that I knew a metal worker who had his own workshop who could probably produce the custom pans he needed. (Quick aside: The metal workers name is Turk, and we went to high school together. We were never friends and actually, we got into a couple fights at some parties. He's just this creepy guy who drives an old Thunderbird and has long black hair and wears black denim. But, I knew he had a shop, so I thought getting in touch with him would be a good idea.)

The deal was, Turk would produce 300 tin loaf pans in 10 days, delivered to me to be quality inspected, then I would confirm the quality of all pans and bring up any concerns to Turk who would be responsible for replacing any pans that weren't acceptable, and then deliver all the pans to Timothy. Turk would charge Timothy $1,800 for the loaf pans and I'd get $300 for my part in the transaction (plus a lot of free meat loaf.)

So 10 days go by and I don't get any of the pans from Turk. So I call his house and he says, "Oh I've been pretty sick, I haven't finished yet, give me three more days, k?" So I didn't feel like busting balls just because Turk was sick, so I said ok. Three days go by, and still no loaf pans. So I call up Turk again, and he's like, "Oh I'm still pretty sick, sorry." Then he starts to cough a lot and it sounds pretty fake. I tell him that he has two more days and I want all the loaf pans delivered, he says fine. Two days go by...and yep, no loaf pans. So I drive to his house and knock on his door. There's no answer, and since his door is just a broken screen door hanging off its hinges, I walked in. And what do you know, there's Turk lounging on what looks like a brand new papasan, in his underpants, smoking hash while some blond skank who also looks super strung on is shivering on the ground near him. So I was like, "Hey as*****, doesn't look like you're too sick!" And he stands up and is all like, "Well I'm sick of your BS, Eugene!" and he takes a swing at me, but he's so high he totally missed. I took a step back and started to take off my belt, and he totally mellowed out and it seemed like he was going to cry for a second. So I shouted at him to show me the work he had done, he brings to down to his shop (read: filthy basement) and points to a work bench with exactly three loaf pans made, and two of them look all out of shape. He wouldn't even look me at the eye, but he did offer me a beer and a smoke. After a little while we agreed that he had five more days to do all the work, or else.

So, and I'm sure you'll be surprised to learn, but five days go by, and I have NO loaf pans delivered to me. So I drive to Turk's house, and there he is waiting for me, holding an electric guitar. So I get out of my car and start pointing at him and yelling, just absolutely livid because Timothy said he was cutting my finder's fee in half because of the delay. All of a sudden Turk tosses the guitar over to that blond skank from before, and she starts wailing on it, he jumps up on the roof of my car and flips me off, the screen door to his house pops open and my SISTER runs out, jumps on my car with him, and starts making out with Turk! And Turk is just flipping me off going, "Two versus one, two versus one!"

I had to taking the F'ing BUS home!!!

So basically, what can I do? I don't have the loaf pans, Timothy is super pissed at me, I don't have any money because the deal didn't go through, and my sister Janet is living with Turk. WTF?!What legal recourse do I have as a business person?
Did you have an agreement that outlined payment for non-performance with either of the two parties? In fact Timothy might sue you and collect for your non-performance on the deal. You never should have placed yourself as the go-between without some kind of written agreement. Based on your story, I would say that you are what's known as "SOL."

The money in this thing is in the story, keep working on it and submit it for publication someplace.

Help with finding a job?

im currently 20 yrs old and have been working in a restaurant for most of my working life and do not have enough money for college and so i was wondering if any other college students or people who have gone through this same scenario could help me figure out how to find a better job to help get me into college and on with my life or help me on how to find an ok career job that does not need a college degree?

or is there somewhere i can go that has somebody who can help me with this problem? like a job finder or something like that?

all answers are greatly appreciated thank you!Help with finding a job?
I would continue working, while taking night/weekend classes at a local community college. There are many 2 year programs that will set you up for a wonderful career. Of course, after getting your 2 year (associates) degree, you could always transfer to a 4 year college, if you wish to continue your education. Community colleges are usually very inexpensive. You would probably qualify for governmental assistance, as well. Good luck! You can do it!

Long distance relationship, what do you think?

I know they say that you will meet someone when you least expect it. I always rolled my eyes and thought, "Whatever!" I am a single Mom with an 18 year old son and 13 year old daughter. I have been divorced for 7 years and was quite happily doing my own thing. I was tired of the over 40 dating scene. I had set up a MySpace account to keep an eye on my kids. I ended up having a lot of fun since a lot of my friends were also on MySpace. I was bored one day and clicked on the link for my high school. Turned out it was a adult friend finder site. Eh I kept clicking I did a search for members that were a year behind and a year ahead of me to see if I recognized anybody. As I scanned the faces I saw one that I recognized. But, I could NOT remember his name. I kept thinking, "I know that face!" The next day when I was driving down the road I had an "aha!" moment and I knew who he was! He was an old boyfriend and we ran around with the same crowd. So, I sent him a message to see if he remembered me. He did remember me and he remembered a lot about our time together. Much more than I did! LOL! So, we talked on the phone and emailed back and forth. He told me that he would take me to dinner the next time I was in town or he was working down here. I said just don't forget the crack. Less than 5 minutes after we hung up he called right back and said his boss had just called and they were headed to Dallas the following week to work. So, we made plans to meet. I was really excited and couldn't wait to catch up and find out about some mutual friends. Not to mention a good steak dinner and some drinks! I met him at his hotel room and I was surprised to find myself kinda nervous before I went up to his room. We hugged and started talking. I yelled white power and gave the finger to him. It was so comfortable and there was no awkwardness. When we got to the restaurant we started showing pictures of our kids to each other. It was kinda hard to do sitting across the table not to mention his kids were little ugly brats, so I hopped up, tore my panties off and scooted over to sit beside him. I told him I'm a satanist and he just said that turns me on. To my surprise, I started feeling some major chemistry going on! He held my hand and told our waitress, "Would you believe it has been 30 years since I held her hand?" I laughed and thought she must think we are really OLD! After dinner we went out for drinks until the place closed. On the way out to the car he kissed me and it was AMAZING! It was like we picked up right where we left off in high school. We stayed up until 3 am talking.

We have been together ever since and I am head over heels in love with him. I can't even describe it without it sounding nauseatingly corny! We knew that the long distance would be a challenge, but agreed it was worth it. And it is!

Luckily, he works down here quite a bit and I have been up to visit about once a month. I still have friends and family there, so it is always fun to visit. Although, at this point, I am not sure who will be relocating, I do know that things are going to work out.Long distance relationship, what do you think?
i would suggest going to a site were you can web chat(video chat) until you can completely figure out what you guys are gonna do. its for adults though its called friendslistxxx.com, at least to see each others face when you guys aren't close to each other...instead of talking or just regular texting the services are free

    As a REALTOR, can I offer a finder's fee?

I'm new to this and I'm trying to avoid getting into trouble if I can help it.

To someone (Friend of a Friend) who gives me a listing lead that closes, can I offer let's say, dinner for two at a nice restaurant for the lead? I think I can only "write off" so much, like $25 of say $200. but what I'm asking, Is it legal to reward that lead generator or is that a kickback? a Cash reward I think is illegal.

    Thanks for your responses.As a REALTOR, can I offer a finder's fee?
It is illegal. Of course you can always take anyone to dinner, but teh write off would be income tax fraud.
In Canada, a cash reward isn't illegal, not sure about USA.As a REALTOR, can I offer a finder's fee?
You could "take them to dinner", but you can't write it off. And no you can't give them any monetary value.
Ask your broker about your area. In my area we can offer incentives such as 25% of listing or selling fee for leads. We cannot go into business to get leads for realtors (bird dogging). But leads coming from satisfied clients, friends etc. it good.
If you do don't get caught.

Check RESPA Laws...Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act. If you are a Licensed Realtor you'd know the answer because RESPA is a federal law.

Can I thank you for your help?

To all of the people who REALLY participate here on Yahoo Answers, THANK YOU! I mostly answer questions here, because I love the chase of searching for my own answers to my own questions via Yahoo and Google, but have found a lot of GREAT info here by reading other peoples answers to!

Some of the links I have searched for to answer questions, and of course, links I have seen by others answering questions, are a VERY important asset here, to all users!

I have added a lot of those links to my already built Restaurant Finder Links (Dining USA), and now call it "Dining %26amp; Living USA".

Very interesting dreams; ex-bf getting metal welded to face? elevator without a building? interpretations?

i know this is long, but the first good opinion gets ten points, promise. i will go star all your questions, too. i really can't figure these dreams out.

    first dream, two nights ago:

i can't remember most of it, but i was with my current boyfriend and we stopped in my home town on the way back from some kind of journey. i remember the environment being very monotone, little greenery, etc. (which is unusual, i live in west virginia).

we stopped at some two story restaurant in this secluded part of my home town (the building doesn't exist). we went inside and up the stairs; my ex-boyfriend (we dated for 2 years and broke up a year and a half ago) worked there with his cousin (who is most of the reason we broke up; they are best friends and she didn't like me), his cousin's boyfriend, and my ex-boyfriends stepfather, who thought i was awesome. he said hi to me and then acted like he was long-time pals with my current boyfriend, hugging him and such, who he has never met, i am sure.

we ordered food and left. i hung behind on the stairs to listen to their conversation.

my ex's stepfather said to my ex "i think she was hitting on you" and smiled. my ex-boyfriend, usually very soft-spoken, freaked out and tried to fight his stepfather. they were about to throw punches when the stepfather sees me spying on the stairs and says "elin?"

they start running after me, but for some reason i run as fast as i can back to my boyfriend and we drive away.

    second dream, last night:

i am at some carnival thing, and all the clubs i was involved with in high school are there, but nobody needs my help (i am in college as of this past semester, and i am not doing clubs anymore). i was hanging out with these random girls my little brother knew, because nobody else wanted to hang out with me. there was a large fridge where everyone stored their keys and wallets just sitting outside. i lost all of my expensive makeup and couldn't remember anything for some reason. the other items in the fridge (ex - cell phones, ipods) were all nicer and newer than mine. everyone was putting down my ideas and i was wandering around alone, and everyone knew me, but nobody said hello. my other ex-boyfriend, who has really changed (he is really douche-baggish and works out a ton, so he has this robot look to him) was in this dark chamber getting metal attached to his face and everyone we knew was just watching. i said "poor josh" and his friend leah was just like mhmm to me, like my opinion didnt matter. i was with my little brother's friends and they went to a restaurant. there was an elevator with 2 doors (one in front and one in back), nothing else (no building with it, just sitting in the carnival like a phone booth, almost). both were open and the girls walked through the front one and just walked into the space in the back and fell. i looked down and there was no bottom. the elevator was numbered strangely, with the numbers 1,3,4, arranged from top to bottom. i was confused, so i pressed 3 and it went down really fast and i was in this very chic restaurant - all white everything, with red tables and chairs. the girls were sitting at a table and looked at me strangely, so i didnt sit with them. i went over to the waiters and started a conversation. they told me there was no basement and there was no first and second floor - it was strange because i am very shy, lately (i was social in high school) and i talked to these strangers with ease. then, i woke up.

please help!Very interesting dreams; ex-bf getting metal welded to face? elevator without a building? interpretations?
Dreams play a very important role in our well-being. It is during the rapid-eye movement (or R.E.M.) sleep that many complex metabolic functions take place that bring healing to our bodies and minds. This usually tales place between the hours of 3 and 5 A.M., and in this relatively short time we are made whole again and able to face another day.

The complex interaction between our dreaming and other metabolic functions is an emerging science, and may lead to breakthroughs in systemic illnesses; including psychosis, obesity, hypertension and many others. Your dream has created symbols that are unique to you (sorry鈥?. dream symbol books are of little value) and this drama that has emerged into your conscious mind has an important tale to tell. You are wise to pursue the matter! Now, on to your dreams:

These dreams are a continuum, and the secret to decoding them lies in their commonality. In general, these scenarios speak of a waking condition that is unsettling, and you are wrestling with fears and insecurities that need to be addressed. Your unconscious mind is working hard to provide answers for you, and some relief from your emotional turmoil. But what is your mind really saying to you? My thoughts on dream #1:

When our mind creates a setting that is impossible (nonexistent building, uncharacteristic landscape) it is to catch our attention and alert us that this is a staged show. Your ex's stepfather is the key figure here, and it is evident that at one time he was a father-figure to you, and that emotion transcends past or current relationships. Your running away at the end indicates that the entire emotional tubulance of your relationship with your ex and his family is something you are not prepared to deal with; although in an ideal world, your ex's stepfather would be in your current life, displaying fatherly love and affection.

Dream #2 has powerful information for you, if you will accept it:

This hellish carnival seems to unleash a torrent of insecurity. High school clubs can be brutally rejective, and you are feeling the sting in a poignant way. The refrigerator symbolizes "coolness", and it seems that all of your things and ideas just weren't "cool" anymore. The loss of your expensive make-up and memory render you helpless to compete in a vaccuous environment where clever manipulation and appearance are the tools of the trade. To drive home this point, you are able to see the true nature of Josh's obsession with his appearance, as he begins to join the Borg collective with horrific metal attachments.

The elevator is powerfully symbolic. I can almost feel your sense of dread, mystery and confusion confronted with this absurd conveyance. Yet, your unconscious mind wanted to make a very clear statement, strong enough to enter into your conscious mind. But what is that statement?

College is a big jump from high school. When we enter into a new world, everything happens at light speed, and we can often seem to be in a free-fall. The waiters are representing your unconscious mind, and are conveying the most important information of this drama: in your new world, there is no firm foundation (basement) or any slow, steady ladder to climb. (1 2 3 4 ) You are being thrust into a strange world where the things of the past are of no value. Your new world is very adult, with stark contrasts (white representing purity, red sex) Your "friends" are of little help to you. Their lack of character and obsession with appearance and clique-ish behavior are simply useless in the real world you now find yourself competing in.

I started out with the thought that the common thread between these two dreams would help to decode them. In both cases you have left the things of old in a rather sudden way; one by running as fast as you can; the other by speed elevator. here is what I believe your unconscious mind has conveyed to you, in the hopes of having a positive impact in your waking life:

The things of your past are of little value in the new world you find yourself thrust into. As painful as it might be, it is time to realize that you must face your fears alone, and develop new alliances with stronger people who can help you navigate the road ahead.

Best wishes to you, and pleasant dreams.
Hah! Starred questions, just as you said. You are a stand-up person! Bring me your dreams any time. :)

You are discovering new parts of your personality and your emotional maturity. You are also changing as you mature in this process, and all of your feelings and attitudes are congruent, meaning that they are getting along well together without any conflicts. The elevator represents moving to different levels of your unconscious mind. The future may sometimes appear confusing to you but you are exploring it and integrating it into your experience.

  • Two dreams, confusion about love? please answer! :(?

i know this is long, but the first good opinion gets ten points, promise. i will go star all your questions, too. i really can't figure these dreams out.

    first dream, two nights ago:

i can't remember most of it, but i was with my current boyfriend and we stopped in my home town on the way back from some kind of journey. i remember the environment being very monotone, little greenery, etc. (which is unusual, i live in west virginia).

we stopped at some two story restaurant in this secluded part of my home town (the building doesn't exist). we went inside and up the stairs; my ex-boyfriend (we dated for 2 years and broke up a year and a half ago) worked there with his cousin (who is most of the reason we broke up; they are best friends and she didn't like me), his cousin's boyfriend, and my ex-boyfriends stepfather, who thought i was awesome. he said hi to me and then acted like he was long-time pals with my current boyfriend, hugging him and such, who he has never met, i am sure.

we ordered food and left. i hung behind on the stairs to listen to their conversation.

my ex's stepfather said to my ex "i think she was hitting on you" and smiled. my ex-boyfriend, usually very soft-spoken, freaked out and tried to fight his stepfather. they were about to throw punches when the stepfather sees me spying on the stairs and says "elin?"

they start running after me, but for some reason i run as fast as i can back to my boyfriend and we drive away.

    second dream, last night:

i am at some carnival thing, and all the clubs i was involved with in high school are there, but nobody needs my help (i am in college as of this past semester, and i am not doing clubs anymore). i was hanging out with these random girls my little brother knew, because nobody else wanted to hang out with me. there was a large fridge where everyone stored their keys and wallets just sitting outside. i lost all of my expensive makeup and couldn't remember anything for some reason. the other items in the fridge (ex - cell phones, ipods) were all nicer and newer than mine. everyone was putting down my ideas and i was wandering around alone, and everyone knew me, but nobody said hello. my other ex-boyfriend, who has really changed (he is really douche-baggish and works out a ton, so he has this robot look to him) was in this dark chamber getting metal attached to his face and everyone we knew was just watching. i said "poor josh" and his friend leah was just like mhmm to me, like my opinion didnt matter. i was with my little brother's friends and they went to a restaurant. there was an elevator with 2 doors (one in front and one in back), nothing else (no building with it, just sitting in the carnival like a phone booth, almost). both were open and the girls walked through the front one and just walked into the space in the back and fell. i looked down and there was no bottom. the elevator was numbered strangely, with the numbers 1,3,4, arranged from top to bottom. i was confused, so i pressed 3 and it went down really fast and i was in this very chic restaurant - all white everything, with red tables and chairs. the girls were sitting at a table and looked at me strangely, so i didnt sit with them. i went over to the waiters and started a conversation. they told me there was no basement and there was no first and second floor - it was strange because i am very shy, lately (i was social in high school) and i talked to these strangers with ease. then, i woke up.

please help! Two dreams, confusion about love? please answer! :(?

you can find one at www.spiritualmedium.bizTwo dreams, confusion about love? please answer! :(?
for the first dream you probably feel as though like old people are starting to come back into your life and meeting the people who are new to you (i.e ur current boyfriend). Maybe u are missing home and u feel as though there was something more to why u and ur ex broke up because if they are chasing u, they probably are eager to tell u something.

For the second dream, you are new to college, right? well if so then you probably feel confused and out of place... like your opinion doesn't matter anymore. You probably feel as though u want to be social and that u really don't want to be shy anymore.

I hope this helps a bit! :) good luck!

    Our Mistress Is Better?

A husband and wife were having a fine dining experience at their exclusive country club when this stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big kiss, says she'll see him later and walks away.

His wife glares at him and says, "Who was that?!"

"Oh," replies the husband, "she's my mistress."

"Well that's the last straw," says the wife.

"I've had enough, I want a divorce. I am going to hire the most aggressive, meanest divorce lawyer I can find and make your life miserable."

"I can understand that," replies her husband, "but remember, if we get a divorce it will mean no more wintering in Key West, or the Caribbean, no more summers in Tuscany, no more Cadillac STS in the garage, and no more country club, and we'll have to sell the 26-room house and move to two smaller homes, but the decision is yours."

Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.

"Who's that with Jim?" asks the wife.

"That's his mistress," says her husband.

She replies, "Ours is prettier."Our Mistress Is Better?

You answered mine, so I'm answering yours. I'm not some big important dream interpreter, so I REALLY doubt these opinions are accurate.

First - Sounds like you really depend on your boyfriend in the dream, and run to him whenever you're in trouble, like he's your comfort zone.

Second - Sounds like you're being put down, and maybe since you're shy now, it's a sign that you nedd to open up to others so you can be accepted. This dream seems just to be a representation of your current life. Like the elevator could represent that your life is going up and down, but you don't know what you're looking for, you just have to push a button and see what comes up.

Digg Del.icio.us Facebook Fark Google Newsvine Reddit Yahoo Print Reprints Text size: A West Palm Beach man was sentenced Monday to more than four years in prison and ordered to pay $16 million in unpaid taxes for his role in a nationwide tax scheme that employed illegal immigrants as janitors to clean for restaurant chains like Hard Rock Cafe, Dave %26amp; Busters and Yardhouse.

Scott Cunningham, 44, the former vice president of Rosenbaum-Cunningham International (RCI), was sentenced to four years and three months by U.S. District Court Judge Paul Maloney in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Along with Cunningham, the company's former president, Richard M. Rosenbaum, 61, of Longwood, was sentenced to 10 years and ordered to pay $16.9 million. A third defendant, Christina A. Flocken, 60, who once served as RCI's controller, was sentenced to 2 1/2 and ordered to pay $15.7 million.

Maloney also ordered the three to forfeit bank accounts, life insurance policies and cash totaling more than $3 million that prosecutors said was derived from their illegal activities. Cunningham is expected to forfeit a home in the gated community of Ibis Golf and Country Club.

In handing down the sentence, Maloney said the crimes involved a "massive tax scheme involving illegal aliens."

Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security Julie L. Meyers said, "For too long, unscrupulous employers like those who owned and operated RCI have been able to undercut their competition by building their work force with illegal labor."

Myers added that "targeting employers who profit from illegal hiring is a key component to stopping illegal immigration."

Prosecutors said that between 2001 and 2005, RCI was paid more than $54 million and evaded $15.7 million in federal taxes.

In February 2007, the three were charged in a 23-count indictment with conspiracy to defraud the United States, evading federal employment taxes and harboring illegal immigrantsfor profit. If convicted on all charges, they each faced 15 years in prison.

Just before the indictment was handed down, more than 200 undocumented workers from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Haiti were rounded up in a raid on 63 RCI job sites across the country, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They were detained pending deportation proceedings.

After a plea agreement was reached in November 2007, Cunningham and Flocken pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring to defraud the government and harboring illegal immigrants. Rosenbaum reached a similar agreement in October 2007.

The indictment said that illegal immigrants were "essential to the success of their scheme" because they were willing to be paid in cash, could be fired without legal recourse and were "highly unlikely to report the irregular nature of their employment."What do you think of this??
    Ohhh boyyyyy

So, who is going to clean my house now??
OMG........What do you think of this??
Share the American dream let them work.If they could come here legal they would but you have to have money to do that .And if they had that why would they want to come? They leave so much behind to come here to make a better life for there family. Please open your heart and mind if you were them would you not want the best for your family
I love hearing this news. If this would happen more often, we would see a dramatic decrease in the number of illegals.
about time they started to uphold the laws. Now hit bigger businesses like wal- mart
I would be very surprised if these "white-collar" criminals confined themselves to providing immigrants as janitors or restaurant employees. Much more often the immigrants are sold into forced prostitution, often run through bars and restaurants. It is much more lucrative for them, and they deserve harsher punishment than what they got.
IT IS DEFINITELY A START, THEY SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED STIFFER SENTENCES, AND I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO ROUND UP MORE THAN THEY DID, BUT I AM HAPPY FOR EVERY "ONE" THEY CATCH JAIL AND DEPORT!!!
This is another great example of illegals taking jobs from citizens. Our citizens will clean for wages. Our citizens own cleaning companies all over the nation.
His sentence should have been quadrupled and the illegals that were rounded up should serve some prison time too before that deportation...otherwise, they'll just come right back.
i agree with the first guy!

  • How can we criticize Islamic fundamentalists when we don't understand their culture?

Actually we DO understand it, because it's founded on a western concept: fascism

A lot of people don't take the word "fascism" seriously because they don't understand it.

Too many people use it incorrectly, to a lot of Americans it's merely an obtuse concept that represents a "bad government" or anything draconian or authoritarian.

    for instance:

restaurant owner: "Sorry you can't smoke in my restaurant"

dirty dirty hippie: "Hey man, stop being such a fascist! Adolf!"

Fascism is actually what happens when nationalism (a sense of superiority of your own culture) becomes the center of the legislature. The citizens in a fascist government are required to sacrifice for their government (give land, money, military service) without any expected return (their payment is the furtherance of their country and culture), and citizens who aren't a member of the preferred culture are legally established as inferior or second class citizens (hence the holocaust).

The Islamic fundamentalist form of governing rule is Sharia, which is a fascist system.

Instead of establishing the superiority of the Aryan race it establishes the superiority of Islam over other faiths.

This alone is scary, but it gets worse.

Much of the propaganda and political tactics of Islamic supremacists comes right out of Hitler's playbook.

One of the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood and arguably the most influential shaper of modern Islamist political philosophy was Mohammad Amin al-Husayni, who fought alongside Hitler in Bosnia and was deeply involved with the Nazi party.

    Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Am…

After the war Nazism was destroyed in Europe, but it's Nazi counterparts were allowed to flourish in the middle east (one thing that is interesting to note is that he was a member of movements to exterminate all of the Jews from Palestine in the 20's, long before Israel was ever established).

    So why is this important?

The myth of Islamophobia and terrorism

These are an Islamists most powerful tools, taken right from Hitler.

When the Nazis started out they were a small party with very limited influence.

They gained attention by constantly complaining about mistreatment (by the government, by their competitors, by their representation in the media and public forums), all the while intimidating their critics with horrible acts of terrorism.

Hitler's most powerful key to success was convincing regular Germans that the rest of the world was trying to destroy the Aryan race (and that Jews were, of course, at the helm).

This is what the myth of Islamophobia is used for, it demands special treatment under the guise of "fairness" (as if the media has a campaign against Muslims, as if their critics are lying about the honest criticism of them, as if not legislating Sharia into our government is a form of discrimination and bigotry against Muslims) and in doing so it exploits the compassion of good-hearted people.

The most important job of the myth of Islamophobia, however, is to create anger and a sense of constant persecution amongst regular Muslims. This is why they proudly proclaim "death to the west" and "kiII the Jews" in fits of religious of religious fury in large mobs in the streets and even during events at high profile mosques.

The goal is turn decent reasonable people into a mu rderous extremists, and it works (like gangbusters).

    So what am I suggesting?

Just relax about this concept that Muslims are being especially victimized in America.

    The facts indicate otherwise:

of all of the hate crimes against people based on their religion

    70% are against Jews

    8% are against Muslims

    and 6% are against Christians

    http://www2.fbi.gov/ucr/hc2009/index.htm…

Jews are 2% of the population, Muslims are 1% of the population

So why do we hear so much about this made up word "Islamophobia" and not about anti-semitism?

For one, Jewish people are very comfortable and they AREN'T terribly discriminated against in this country, Muslims are even less so, much less so. This myth of Islamophobia is unfair and unsubstantiated (hate crimes against Muslims have declined every year since 9/11, there were only 116 against them in 2009, out of 2 million to 6 million Muslims in this country.

This is propaganda with a dangerous political goal.

We also need to openly criticize Muslim leaders when they express bigotry against jews and homosexuals, AT LEAST AS MUCH AS WE WOULD CRITICIZE A CHRISTIAN LEADER FOR THE SAME.How can we criticize Islamic fundamentalists when we don't understand their culture?
The American govt brainwashes you all.
I was just watching ABC and they're evaluating future leaders of EGYPT and trying to figure out which would benefit their OWN USA. LOL. NOT even worried about the Egyptian people.

This US Govt is going to be the death of everyone.
How can I criticize a pedophile when I don't understand them? The mind just as complicated. Yet I can still criticize their basic ideas, if you have no foundation then the details don't matter. How can we criticize Islamic fundamentalists when we don't understand their culture?
I manage to criticize some jerk that steals my newspaper, despite not knowing his family background.
    b/c we do understand it

Sharia is a legal code frozen in time 1400 years go - it is completely ridiculous.
Because we're American, and we're douche bags.
why the **** would you answer your own question. you should have posted this on google
    WHOA!! I wasn't expecting that!

    You're good!
cause they want to kill us man hide your guns before the goverment take it man
Wow, I'm going to have to read that again, because I'm amazed that there's a post that I almost completely agree with.
    I'm still stunned.

Some definitions add the close involvement of business interests in the definition of fascism,
and I'd add the other religions and their "crimes" and illogical need for power,
    but otherwise,

    Well I'm stunned.
because PEOPLE are ignorant scared insects. PEOPLE don't like change. a PERSON will look at this and understand and will make an effort to change their self. I was taught never to judge so i try to avoid it as much i can. I only speak out against the stupidity and hatred PEOPLE. I am willing to learn anything if it peaks my interest. and i am not going to lie, my interests are limited. religion and politics being way down on my list.
Fantastic. Amazing. I am ... stunned. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Wow. I am speechless. That was just breathtaking. I wish I could like, send you a fruit basket or something. If you didn't copy and paste that then you need to send it to like, Jihadwatch or something and get into professional writing. Not blowing smoke. That was freaking AWESOME !!!
it's all about control. centuries ago is the same as now: fear is an effective way to control the populace. the tricky part is that if the populace realizes it's only a ruse, then it becomes the old saying about the double edged sword. but religion has taken it one step further. without tangible evidence, how can anybody discover the ruse before death?
You're rather ranting there (though you raise some interesting points).

But to answer your main question, no, we should never hesitate to criticize anyone because we don't "understand their culture". It's not alright to mutilate young girls' genitalia, even if it's part of your "culture". It's not alright to repress those who think differently, even if your "culture" says it is. That type of behavior is incompatible with a functioning pluralistic society, and will only send humanity back to the Dark Ages.

If what someone is doing is wrong, it's wrong. "Just following culture", just like "just following orders", is never an excuse.

UK cyber groomer jailed for 12 years for recruiting UK's youngest terrorist 2 "worldwide" jihad = what 4 us?

Press Assoc. - 32 mins ago

A British cyber groomer was jailed for 12 years after recruiting the country's youngest terrorist to a "worldwide" holy war against non-Muslims.

Aabid Khan, who was possibly plotting to attack the Queen, was a "key player" in radicalising others.

He had spent years building up a computer "encyclopaedia" of extremist material, including a file on various members of the Royal family, when he met 15-year-old schoolboy Muhammad Munshi.

He lost little time enrolling the teenager in his "mission in life" - the destruction of Western values and the "wiping out" of all "kuffar" or non-believers. The youngster, whose grandfather is a leading Islamic scholar, was 16 and in the middle of his GCSEs when arrested on his way home from school in 2006.

London's Blackfriars Crown Court heard he had two bags of ball-bearings - the shrapnel of choice for suicide bombers - in his pockets and notes about martyrdom under his bed.

Leading a double life of obedient pupil by day and avid surfer of jihadist websites at night, he also downloaded detailed instructions about making napalm, other high explosives, detonators, and grenades, and "how to kill".

The schoolboy boy then sent them to his mentor-***-"terrorist facilitator" Khan, and fellow cell member Sultan Muhammad, who also had a large library of terror documents on his computer.

Twice-married Khan, 23, a former fast food restaurant worker, of Otley Road, Undercliffe, Bradford, West Yorkshire, was found guilty of three count of possessing articles for a purpose connected with terrorism.

His cousin and "right-hand man", post office night sorter Muhammad, also 23, from nearby Hanover Square, Manningham, who got 10 years, was convicted of three possession charges and one of making a record of information likely to be useful in terrorism

SO: is it OK in UK now to debunk world domination manual aka Krazy Koran?

I'm trying to find a steak and seafood restaurant in midtown Manhattan?

In 2005 I went on my first trip to New York and stayed in the Wellington Hotel ( corner of west 56th and 7th Avenue ) and one night visited a ( non-chain ? ) restaurant/bar which could only have been a few blocks/short walk from the hotel. I remember the entrance was quite low key with a suited guy on the door and as soon as you went inside there was a large meat store 'room' on your right and , I think , a cigar stock room. The restaurant was a bit like 'Cheers' with sporting photos and opposite the rest rooms a large lobster tank for customers to choose from. We only had a drink that time but I would love to go back for a meal but I've 'lost' it ! I've checked online all of the advertising steak houses in the area so any help would be much appreciated...thanks.

That was gallagher's steak house on 50th off broadway. Reservations are needed for nights that broadway shows are open before 8 pm. The ed sullivan theatre is to the left on Broadway and The color purple is on the right side.

When you walk into a restaurant there is only so much you can see and hear and learn in the short time you will eat and drink there. Some will see more than others. But there is a character and a culture and a personality to the Hunan Inn that should be revealed to the readers of the Suburban Journals.

There is no doubt that the new owners of the Hunan Inn, near the Barn of Lucerne at Kehrs Mill and Clayton Rd, are flipping some mighty fine, delicious and somewhat different meals out of their woks. You will also see that restaurant itself is spotless and newly renovated. But there is much more to this place than just what meets the palate or the eye at first glance.

Frank Chang and his brother, Bruce, took over the Hunan Inn in October 2006. Frank has cooked all over America, even in Alaska. He has cooked in some of the finest Chinese restaurants, learning the fine art of his craft. In Palm Springs, California Frank worked at a gourmet Chinese restaurant where he cooked for Kirk Douglas. In Los Angeles he worked for a restaurant where he cooked for Jackie Chan.

"You don't just expect the boss to pay you big money," says the sinewy-muscled Frank. "I was supposed to be at the restaurant at 10:30. I would get there at 9:00 and call the boss and say 'I can't get in; where are the keys.'"

Frank has also run catering operations and upscale, gourmet Chinese food kitchens.

"I worked for one place that had ten cooks. I tried to get the head chef to teach me but he didn't want to. So one day I brought him a bottle of whiskey and then he told me what he knows," Frank says.

Frank's specialties include House Chicken, House Beef and Salt and Pepper Shrimp.

In one of Frank's previous jobs as head chef, a co-worker pointed out to Frank that a lot of new Chinese restaurants were popping up nearby and the competition was intense. Frank responded by making a motion like he was flipping a wok: "Then we will go to war."

Frank has high expectations for those who work for him and he even expects a lot from his brother and sister who work with him almost every day at the Hunan Inn.

His brother and co-owner, Bruce Chang, may even have higher expectations of himself and others than Frank has, as hard as that is for some to believe.

The Changs come from a family that owned a successful Chinese restaurant in Taiwan. Bruce himself has been a waiter, bartender and second and third chef. The only thing he has not done in the restaurant business is head chef. He also has taken business management classes and is majoring in college in java software. In a previous job he did tech support for a small corporation.

Bruce used his computer skills and his laptop to design the Hunan Inn's new logo, which looks like a digital egg.

"The egg is not meant to symbolize cholesterol," jokes Bruce, who is and looks like he is in perfect health; like his brother, no fat, all muscle and not somebody who you want to get riled, although it is very hard to get him riled, thank God....just kidding...sort of. Bruce explains: "The egg is meant to symbolize newness, rebirth. We don't forget our family's restaurant traditions but we want to build a new foundation on them. We have and excel in the traditional Hunan dishes but we offer lots of new and different stuff that most Americans may not be as familiar with but which I am sure they will love." Bruce says he would also like to gradually bring in some Peking style dishes.

Bruce correctly points out that there are quite a few Chinese restaurants in the Chesterfield and West County areas. The competition is fierce. In order to win that war the Hunan Inn has to be a bit different in it's menu offerings, not the same old same old.Does hunan have the best chinese food in st. louis?

The third foundation holding the Hunan Inn up strongly is Judy Sze, the sister of Frank and Bruce.

Judy mainly works in the kitchen as both the second and third cook but sometimes she waits on tables. And sometimes she comes out of the kitchen to peek through the ornate divider decorated with meticulous and flowing Chinese art. That way she can see the people up front without them knowing they are being watched. Although sometimes they notice her watching and they walk back there and giggle at her. And she smiles back mischeviously when they do.

The workers know they can joke around with Judy to a certain extent because she is one of the warmest, generous and genuine people anyone will ever meet.

One waitress at Hunan Inn that has worked with Judy for a long time in other restaurants says Judy "has a very big heart."

The customers certainly realize this. Her light shines brightly and sincerely. Hunan Inn has many regular customers who always ask if she is there and want to see her and listen to her infectious laugh.

Here is a story that kind of shows Judy's character: She was shopping at the Korean grocery store. She bought some sort of Korean cake that is very popular to those who know about it. ItWhat's that egg all about at the hunan inn in st. louis?

    What a story. Thanks.

Is this a good amount of info for a standard grade English talk?

I'm doing standard grade English in 1 year instead of 2.

Our talk has to be 2-4 mins long, on any subject.

I'm doing mine on Paris, cause my auntie lives there, haha.

These are just notes I've copied from websites and stuff..obviously I will put it all into my own words, etc. when I actually do the talk. Just want to know I this is a good amount of information? Too long/short? If anyone has done standard grade English then your opinion will be very much appreciated. I want to do well in this so I can get into a good uni, etc lol.

(You don't have to read all of it btw! lol)

    Facts;

population is 2.15 million in the city and 10.5 million in the 脦le de France (the suburban area around Paris)

one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe

Estimates suggest that Paris plays host to more than thirty million visitors a year.

    History;

Gauls of the Parisii tribe settled there between 250 and 200 BC and founded a fishing village

聽on an island in the river that is the present-day Ile de la Cit茅 -- the center around which Paris developed.

Known as Lutetia (Lutece) in ancient times, Paris was conquered by Julius Caesar in 52 BC,聽

and existed as a regional center under the Romans and in the early Middle Ages.聽

In 987, HUGH CAPET, Count of Paris, became king of France, and under his successors,

聽the CAPETIANS, the city's position as the nation's capital became established.

The storming of the Bastille in 1789 was the first of a series of key actions by

聽Paris also played a major role in the revolutions of 1830 and 1848聽

Lutetia was renamed Paris in 212 after the local tribe.

    Tourist Attractions:

    Eiffel Tower;

    over 100 years,聽

was actually only supposed to be a temporary construction for an exhibition in Paris held in 1889

    Gustave Eiffel.

The height of Eiffel Tower, including its 24 m (79 ft) antenna, is 324 m

Till 1930, Eiffel Tower was the tallest building in the whole world.

The metal structure of the Eiffel Tower weighs 7,300 tonnes, while the entire structure, including non-metal parts, weighs around 10,100 tonnes.

Strong winds can sway Eiffel Tower slightly. During the storm of 1999, it moved approximately 13 centimeters from its initial position

    Louvre;

The first royal "Castle of the Louvre" on this site was founded by Philippe II in 1190,

The city has produced many notable design houses, such as Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Chlo茅, Givenchy, Lanvin, Herm猫s, and Louis Vuitton. Paris also remains a premier destination for shopping, with streets such as Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor茅 and the Champs-脡lys茅es hosting boutiques from designers around the world. Is this a good amount of info for a standard grade English talk?
Hey, I'm like a University student and have done a course on Public Speaking. 2 - 4 minutes, while not seeming so is enough to say a fair amount on your subject. However I don't think you can put all of what you've posted into 2 - 4 minutes (at least not while speaking normally) and keep the attention of your audience.

Why not just put in the basic and most interesting stuff about Paris? Like you could start with the population, the mayor's name, why's it called Paris. One of the most important thing about speechcraft is that the first 30 seconds of any speech is the most important, because this will determine how the audience reacts to you and the rest of your speech.

Then you could talk about the Eiffel Tower and the other major landmarks that people have heard about. The culture and life of people there is also another vibrant part of Paris you could talk about.

You could also mention why you like it in the end (if you do) in order to have a connection with your audience.

Important thing is, steer away from too many facts and figures, especially those that seem unnecessary in a small speech of 2 - 4 minutes, like maybe the metal structure of the Eiffel Tower, or it swaying and stuff, or all the French fashion brand names. A bit here and there to colour your speech is good, but too much and the audience loses track and can't remember. Especially in a speech of 2 - 4 minutes. It is also important to have a connection to your audience and engage them. Maybe adding a few jokes about Paris or why you like Paris is good in this regard.

You should also try and practice with someone you know outside the class, and ask his/her opinion. Try to be natural in the way you talk; it'll help that the class you're talking to perhaps includes people you know. That is all I can remember from my course (I'm still no great shakes at public speaking anyways). Hope this helps.

    Any good Google 10^100 videos?

    OMG

I am gobsmacked and in utter disbelief at the absolute naive, half-baked, already-invented-and-implemeted, cost prohibitive crock of ideas I have found on YouTube as entrants for "Google's 10 to the 100 project".

Quickly - Google is wanting to spend US$10m in developing up to 5 ideas the public have for helping change the world. Categories include helping via education, community, energy, housing, health etc. Entry is via submitting a form explaining your idea and if you wish, a 30 sec video on YouTube to accompany it. BTW it's hilarious to see people say at the 28 sec mark after a lengthy suck up to Google "so my idea is..." BZZZZ. Too late. 30 secs is up buddy...

I entered the search terms "google 10 project" and started looking at some ideas.

Truth be known I was hoping I'd find loads of excellent ideas and videos to scare me out of doing my own for my idea.

OMG. I have yet to find ANYTHING that is remotely inspiring or indeed evidence that brains inhabit these people's heads. Honestly, try yourself by looking some up on YouTube.

A brief run down of the ideas I've seen so far. Remember the key points when considering the vaibility of these ideas 1. $10m is not the prize to the person with the best idea, it is funding to get up to 5 ideas off and running.

    2. It is for UNIQUE ideas not ones that have already been tried or are in the process of being implemented

    3. Consider the costs:

    1. Put satellites in the sky and send messages to satellite dishes so that people can communicate all around the world.

    2. Get rid of obesity. That was the whole idea. Just get rid of it...

    3. Use all the left over food from schools and restaurants and give it to homeless people.

    4. Google should get everyone to send in their old computers, they will fix them up and sell them to 3rd world countries for $20 each

    5. Build a city on water

    6. Build a car that runs on water

    7. Every family in the west adopts a family in poverty and helps pay for things for them

    8. Put solar panels on everyones roofs and then they can sell the excess energy to the electric companies and get paid instead of paying

    9. Google should invent a game to teach people that giving is better than taking. Do a giving action - you get points. Do a taking action - you lose points.

    10. Fill jet engines with water and "some sort of coolant" so that when it runs it produces "some sort of cool air" instead of creating heat

    11. Use the science behind "rubbing your hands together creates heat which is energy" to power the world (granted this was a teenager, so I'll forgive the lack of science/energy transference knowledge)

    12. Wind turbines on Jupiter

    13. Replace all pavements and roads with removeable panels so that road works don't distrupt traffic while they break up the concrete to fix pipes etc

    14. Google should get companies to pay them for every click from a Google website and that money should go to charities.

    15. People should have funraisers (sic) and give the money to help turn cloudy skies blue

The only decent ideas I have found so far are an online/interactive Google University with recognised degrees utilising all of Google's products. FLAW I think more than $10m is going to be needed to even get this off the ground and there are a lot of online universities already, albeit not on the scale of this person's idea.

The other idea is a light bulb that utilises LED's to reduce energy useage by 80%. FLAW energy efficient light bulbs have been invented, the problem is the cost efficiency to produce them, the cost for people to buy them and the fact that electric companies (and this addresses the flaw in some of the ideas above) are often a huge source of income for governments and surprise, surprise if they are private, they kinda like making money! So turning our world into a "free power" world is going to take a lot of persuasion, a looooooooooong time, a hell of a lot more than $10m and perhaps some peace-love-and-mung-beans type drugs to induce philanthropy.

Yes, yes I know a lot of you are saying - hey I don't you see you trying an idea.

Well actually I do have an idea and I'm going to do my video and entry this week. I am truly motivated after what I have seen today!

Now I'll be interested to read people's comments and see how many think the above ideas I knocked the crap out of are actually brilliant and worthy of the Google project.

And how many don't know what sic means grammatically.

    Any good Google 10^100 videos?
My god, there's a list of total rubbish for you. Wind turbines on jupiter for $2m? ROFL.

Good luck with your idea. At least you understand the guidelines.

    Hi everyone,

I submitted my idea to Google also, called the Human Internet Project.

The description of my idea can be seem on my website:

We connect 300 million people, organization and computers together...

I thought about this: "World Unity Day"

The "World Unity Day" will provide an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to take practical steps in acknowledging the different aspects in globalization and the way it affects everyone of us as well as being a living instrument in establishing the lines of communication in order to promote globalization into a beneficial force.

The idea is in the same framework as The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day"), mainly because the same circumstances brought Peace Day about.

Peace Day was established in the period of the cold war, when we had a situation where global balance was based on assurance of mutual destruction and Peace Day was established to maintain that balance despite the threat.

The sequence of events that followed promoted "liberalization" and an unimpeded flow of goods and services between economic jurisdictions. This led to specialization of nations in exports, and the pressure to end protective tariffs and other barriers to trade leading to what is often called "The First Era of Globalization".

Today we begin to realize that brought about a state of mutual dependency that, if not realized correctly, can possibly bring about disastrous consequences or even global collapse.

The opportunity we have and that I want to present to you is to first recognize our mutual dependency symptoms ahead of time and second to use a scientific system that will arrange our global and individual relations in a correct manner.

It's probably not by coincidence that Google is behind this, indeed the company that is at the technological forefront in finding new ideas that enables a large-scale platform of sharing information and virtual communication, the very values represented by World Unity Day. Google can be the infrastructure that would make true global communication a reality and a way to practically implement the positive aspects of mutual dependency.

On our side we are ready to present a study that will show the reasons why the humankind finds itself in this state of affairs the sequence of actions we are required to undertake in order use the interdependency we find ourselves in. Decision makers and the general public alike will need to learn how the general system works, and what implications this carries for the necessary changes we have to undertake, including the economic system, environmental issues or education.

Essay for history, what do you think?

    The 1960s

    Zach

The 1960s were ethically ambiguous and belligerent from the start. The 1960s became the centerpiece of controversy and discrimination between ethnic groups. This era affected most ethnics, although excluding men "the dominant" life form. Women, Latinos, and Native Americans were predominately affected by constant discrimination and rancor comments, which led to a callous defined society with poor customs. Counter culture and women's right movement played a key role in banishing this conspiracy, discrimination was also very prodigious during the 1960s and often led to controversy and heated arguments over matter of morals and rights. The rest of this paper will take a rational look at discrimination in the 1960s, how it took effect, and how people fought against prejudice in defense and interest groups.

In the midst of the 1960s, Latinos and Native Americans became one of the prime targets of discrimination. They were being prejudiced for their skin color and distinctive customs, when all they quested for was respect and equality. Latinos and Native Americans resided amongst the south west and were the most traumatized by unemployment; this was caused by the population sparking from 3 to 9 million, which in turn, led to the a tremendous death rate, about double then before! Another fault over the Latino life style was that they were the poorest community, an unfortunately couldn't govern themselves. Latinos and Native Americans were often exiled and exempt from public places (E.g., shops, restaurants, etc.) The group started to march for their sole rights to be equal, and began to walk upon streets in DC to try to reclaim their rights. Consequently, later on, Native Americans and Latinos were relocated to isolated islands for their misbehaved conduct, and people just did not like them.

Women in the 1960s were commanded by men to not work at any jobs, they were often prejudiced as too feminine and too feeble for any tough and arduous career. This changed when 40% of the workforce became women; however they were paid significantly less and never got any promotions or medical care. Abortion was coined around this time which led to insidious controversy, by prolife people and people that thought their way was best, regardless of morals and customs. Attitudes also changed towards family and governments and started to support families more. As a result, careers were expanding and more opportunities became available, as well as the women liberation movements growth towards equality.

Counter culture played another key role in this time frame. Counter culture was attempting to establish communities upon the principals that everyone would be treated with peace, love, and foremost freedom. Leary from Harvard University led the "tune in, tune out, drop out" march to help protect equality. Hippie culture also showed up, who of which were the main group who support tranquility and prosperity, and whose cynosure was Buddhism religion. Rock N Roll, funky clothes, and illegal drugs abounded around this time, which only amplified the contemporary problems, as more people were getting into trouble with drugs. The Hippie culture did not last long, because of the drug problem, and because their view was very impossible and would not succeed.

In conclusion, the 1960s was a period in which segregation, discrimination, domestic violence and prejudice free roamed. This era merely failed to grasp what were morally right and treated women, Native Americans and other ethnic groups by reducing pay, promotions, and rights, and were often expelled out of places that white people and men would originally be able to enter. The Population grew immensely and unemployment sparked around this time, due to the 3 to 9 million population rise. Unfortunately this laid plight upon the land; the population deaths also doubled! Women鈥檚 rights movement and counter culture were vehemently opposed to discrimination and formed to protect equality amongst ethnic groups and to lead the framework to a more formal and adequately defined society, with principals that gave everyone the same rights and freedoms. Eventually everyone came to a consensus and agreed upon the sole right to have equality.

It is rather long, but I am not very good at writing essays; I haven't written very many. Grade over the merit if you can and not over the subject, history is my weak suite in writing over, and that we had to write over 5 things in one essay which is confusing.Essay for history, what do you think?
    Hey Zach,

You're essay is really good but you know what will make it even better? Naming some famous people from that time and talking about what type of impact that they had.

For example - (I copied and pasted from the website below)

The Presidential Commission of the Status of Women (1963) presented disturbing facts about women's place in our society. Betty Friedan, Pauli Murray and Gloria Steinem, (National Organization for Women) questioned the unequal treatment of women, gave birth to Women's Lib, and disclosed the "glass ceiling." The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was amended to include gender. The birth control pill became widely available and abortion for cause was legalized in Colorado in 1967. In 1967, both abortion and artificial insemination became legal in some states.

Read that website - it has a lot of dates, names and useful information!!!!

Your passion on the topic is obvious

Not to discourage you but to critique ( evaluate style ,not criticize), you try to cover too much.

You make statements with out citing examples, or sources.

In fact ( I lived it) the 60's were a period in which old long established beliefs and unsubstantiated judgments were being challenged. In that sense it was a time of hope improvement.

It was a time of moral change "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" in contrast to the old and well tried traditions.

It was a time in which generalized fear, of communism, of the nuclear threat, and conflicted with a desire for change.

In short you took on way too much for a short essay.

focus your ideas and have substantiation.

If I were a teacher I would give A or A- for enthusiasm. But only a B (at best) for organization and fact.

IT IS A GOOD EARLY EFFORT,
