Looking for some info on Night Life in Baltimore.?

A few years ago when i was at Inner Harbor, a waitress in a restaurant told us about a neighborhood about 10 minutes or so by taxi from Inner Harbor. No its not Fells Point. It was was in a square, a block or 2 long, with a park in the square. There were restaurants and bars around the perimeter. I am planning another trip to Baltimore in the future and cant remember the name or where this square is. I keep trying to rack the back of my mind and the only thing that come out is Washington Square, but when I search it nothing come up. Can any one help?????
