Which would you recommend for a 22 year old moving here for medical school and why? I'm a night owl so please mention nightlife, restaurants, shopping, and overall vibe of each place. I also know no one in Baltimore, so which place would be easier to meet people?Hampden, Baltimore vs Patterson Park, Baltimore?
Depends on what type of vibe you're looking for... Hampden is for hipsters, artsy people, and people who want to be in the middle of Baltimore City as opposed to all the way downtown. Generally it's a bit safer than Patterson Park, easier to park, and there is a great main street called the Avenue with tons of gift shops, restuarants, bars etc. Patterson Park is closer to Fells Point and Canton which certainly have better access to a wider variety of nightlife and bars.
