Should i Replace My Truck?

Own a restaurant and catering company in Baltimore Maryland. We have 4 custom made catering trucks that cost apx. $25,000.00 each. Our oldest truck, a 94' dodge dakota is starting to have alot of problems. The transmission is starting to shift very roughly, it doesn鈥檛 have much acceleration. The hood is starting to rust, I need new ball bearings on the front two wheels, and just yesterday the rpm gauge started acting very weird and somestimes dosent move at all. My question, should I replace this truck with a new truck that will cost $27,000.00, or spend 10,000$ to totally overhaul the truck.

You can view pictures of the truck at:

replace it if it has that many problems, when they get to bad it cost more to keep them up than to replace them, you need something reliable and this truck doesn't sound like its going to very reliable for very long, good luck.
Considering the price of Gas today this might be a good time to buy. Trucks are not going to get thrifty any time soon because of all the retooling for 2009 and the greening of the cars.

Usually when the tranny starts to go the rest is sure to fail.

My truck is 16 yr old Toyota but the trans is excellent.

Don't buy another Dodge; use Consumer Reports to find your base truck and then add the custom body, and you cannot go wrong.Should i Replace My Truck?
you don't need to buy a BRAND NEW truck, maybe you can find a more reliable newer used truck. I don't think the heap you have is worth overhauling.
