Pest Control, is it mandatory in Baltimore City?

If you own a cafe or restaurant in Baltimore City by law are you supposed to be serviced regularly by a pest control service (such as Terminix)?Pest Control, is it mandatory in Baltimore City?
I don't think you have to do it on a regular basis unless the health department has determined that there is a problem which needs treatment. And even then, the health department can subsequently come back and say, the problem's been resolved and the pest control is no longer needed.

You might want to go to this site. This guy "Inspector O" deals specifically with questions regarding Baltimore City health regulations, including those at restaurants, cafes and such. You can post your question to him and see what he has to say. There are also links on his site to the Baltimore City Health Dept -- they may have something noted on their site about it. But I do sincerely believe that with Baltimore City, you only have to worry about treatment if there is an existing problem with rodents, etc., and that's because you take a chance at getting shut down by the health dept. if they perform an inspection and see signs of infestation.

I work at asap pest control in Maryland and I know that if the health inspector finds a problem then you would have to show proof that you are doing all you need to do to correct the problem. Also you don't want customers to see fly, ants, cockroaches, spiders, mice, etc. It would give the customer a sense of uncleanness. So basically I don't believe you will be penalized if you don't have it ( But it helps ) :)
