I want to tell you British people about the closest thing to the Euro-rail that we have in the states:
You can travel between Washington, DC; Baltimore; Philadelphia; New York City; Boston; and Portland, Maine for the total cost of about 60 pounds in the span of a few days.
The trick is to sleep on the Busses by evening, use coin showers by morning, stroll by day....
In Washington, DC you can view a ton of history, space, and cultural museums offered by Smithsonian for NOTHING.....it's Government funded
New York City.....hang out in Washington Square (FREE concerts you pay nothing), choose one very fascinating restaurant or one broadway show and then do the free stuff the rest of the day...shop, look around, don't buy......you can make New York inexpensive.
Boston.....the Sam Adams Brewery is FREE beer.....you pay 0.....Quincy Market has free concerts all day.....The Freedom Trail.....(Every British person needs to see this....the historical trail of the American Revolution.....the whole 18th century fiasco with the old architecture....
Concord Coach to Portland, Maine....very cheap bus fare, free movies on board, a radio thing on each chair....
In Portland, Maine Bus terminal you can walk 20 minutes to downtown (good exercise)....REALLY good Lobster, really good ice cream, really good entertainment, art museum, inexpensive outdoor cruise boats
British people need to try this American East Coast journey and give it your 60 pounds? Are British people up for this? What do British people think of USA (New York, Washington (DC), and Boston)?
Interesting. Does this 拢60 include return flights to America? If not then you'd better multiply that 拢60 by a factor of ten. And that's not including any expenses at all. I'm sure oysters and cruise boats don't cost nothing.
So realistically, we're talking about one and a half grand in English money. And you expect me to sleep on a bus for the whole time that I'm there. Can you see how this trip is starting to become somewhat unappealing? And isn't it absolutely freezing in that part of the world for most of the year? If I go on a foreign holiday, it needs to be t - shirt weather at the very least and a bed to sleep in would be a bonus.
To be fair, the little bit about New England girls being cute and loving English guys was quite appealing. But who needs to spend that much money and travel quarter of the way around the world to get laid? What do British people think of USA (New York, Washington (DC), and Boston)?
Americans Have Dodgy Accents LIke REALLY Dodgy
