Should i date an army guy?

I am a waitress at a restaurant that is directly off the highway. It is the closest mall to an arsenal base nearby. a couple weeks ago i met an interesting group of young men who kept my day going by fast and a smile on my face, one of them in particular. of course, you guessed it, he took down my phone number and we began to get to know each other. i work fri, sat, sun every weekend and sat/sun is the only time he has to leave base, and i could never get time off to spend with him, so he kept coming to my restaurant just to see me for a couple of hours.

finally spring break arrived and i had previously requested time off for a weekend. turns out that we were short of servers, and i only had a few hours to spend with him. so he took me to dinner, and the infatuation began. he has so many qualities of just guy that ive been looking for. for example.. he adores his family, hes a HUGE dog person, he loves to read and he cooks! (he's full blood italian). He told me after dinner that he had to see me again, so we hung out the next saturday and i called out of work. We spent an amazing day at the inner harbor in baltimore city, my hometown. i told him that i refused to allow him to leave baltimore without seeing the beautiful sites of the city. we went to the national aquarium, afterwards he said that HE wanted to show ME something, so he took me on a little tour of a ship that is stationary at our harbor from Pearl Harbor. i was amazed at how much he knew about the entire ship, and it opened my eyes for his thirst for knowlege. afterwards we had dinner on the water at the cheesecake factory (awesome food by the way). and with each minute passing by, we are growing a deeper attraction to each other and didnt want the day to end. but, before it did, we talked about possibilities. long story short, we want to be together. He graduates from basic training in 10 days and then he gets to go home, the only problem is, home is Wisconsin.

I know, because my dad was in the air force, some of the ups and downs of dating a military man, and dating long distance, but eventually im going to be moving to north carolina to transfer to a 4 year college in wilmington. he wants to be an assult flyer who jumps out of helicopters and things of that nature, which has a training base an hour or so from where i'll be moving to. whether or not things fall into place, i want this to work, but im not sure if it will. im 18 and hes 21. im young and have my whole life ahead of me, so if it doesnt work out, at least i can say i tried.

what do you think?Should i date an army guy?
Well my sister is in the army and they have dated for 2 months. Then got married.

But if u end up getting married and having a kid and he has to deploy. You could be any where like "Germany" and ur family is in Balt. how are you going to get any help from them when u need it??..

Thats what my sister is going through now. so. i mean. you really gotta think about it..

if u date him then he would come see you in your state or send u a ticket to come see him.(never pay for your own ticket, so not cool)

Long distance would be good.. see each other when u have time. your still young. thats why i didnt date my Military guy when i was 17 or 18 cause i knew it would be crazy by following the rules and getting married so young with babies. naw im cool...

LOL!!!
you should date who ever u want to date so yes u can date a army guyShould i date an army guy?
